In recent days or weeks the interface between the state and the faith community has come into the spotlight following the arrest and prosecution of openly gay partners in Blantyre. Some men of collar have taken a stick for expressing their faith’s position on the matter while others have laught an onslaught on our laws describing some of them as prehistoric and intolerant. Curiously, both the faith community and the state seem to share a common position on the matter. The question is whether this is by accident or coincident?
