We offer two non-stipendry internships of 8 weeks a year to students studying Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL),Master of Laws (LL.M.) Business and Accounting and Healthcare degrees at recognized Universities in Malawi or Internationally. The programme gives interns an insider’s view of a career in law, providing valuable insight into what working in a law firm is like. Interns are not mere research assistants rather shadow counsel and tag along to court appearances giving them an eagle’s eye view of law in action and fraternal interactions within the precincts of court houses. We keep numbers small so that interns can get the best experience possible from our programme. Applicants are usually in their third year of study at the time of application.
The programme is offered as part of our professional contribution to law and its training. To meet our exacting standards of research informed practice our programme looks for intelligent and articulate applicants, capable of contributing and communicating their own ideas and opinions. We need enthusiastic people who will enjoy getting to know clients and colleagues and who understand that working at the frontline of legal services requires hard work, applied intellect, a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to working in a team. We look for students that display the drive and commitment to meet our standards built on our ethos of integrity, dependability and results. Due to the our multidisciplinary approach to law and its practice we seek to have a blend of law and non-legal students in the Programme. Applicants should also possess outstanding academic abilities
